Welcome to my Blog @theWEBtrain, which will cover railways, model railways, and travel through to computing.
My early posts have focused on prototype (real world) railways. They have featured railways in GB (BR Freight Sectorisation and Branding, and the BR Class 9F Black Prince) and Europe (Swiss Railway operations involving the SBB and RhB). More articles will follow.
Over the last 5 years I have been, part-time, teaching Advanced Database Systems, Systems Analysis & Design, and Professional Skills (for Group Project Management and Reporting) at the School of Physical Sciences and Computing, UCLAN.
During this time, I have developed 3 Model Railway Exhibition layouts and will be providing some background about their development and features in this Blog. I will also provide a photo gallery to give a pictorial of the progress made. The Layouts are:
- 29th Street Wharf (US HO scale);
- Arcadia Pennsylvania Terminal (US O Scale);
- Clayton End Signalman (GB OO scale).
Each layout will have its own page; in the meantime some layout images can be found on my Web site.
